Authorities holding back details into death of Cowichan teenage girl

An autopsy has confirmed that Tyeshia Jones, who was an 18-year-old member of the
Cowichan Tribes of British
Columbia, was murdered but authorities aren't releasing details of the crime and a suspect or suspects haven't been identified.
Jones went missing in the early morning hours of January 22. Her body was found in a remote area on January 28 but authorities aren't saying how she got there.
The crime has riled the community. Chief Lydia Hwitsum said that Jones and her son were together at a party the night before the girl went missing. The two were supposed to meet at another location but Jones never showed up.
“He’s having a really hard time, of course,” Hwitsum told The Victoria Times-Colonist. “He’s just thinking, ‘Why didn’t I go further or look farther?’”
About 1,500 people are expected to participate in
